Garonga Safari Company

The Garonga story began in 1996 when I purchased old cattle farming land to turn around and revert back to a natural wilderness area with all the wild Animals back in their natural habitat.  So I joined with Makalali to form the Greater Makalali Private Nature Reserve in 1997 and opened my first Camp, Safari Camp.

Over time I have opened two more small boutique camps, Little Garonga and MCH Luxury Tented Camp.

Over the years the game experience has become absolutely incredible with all the Big 5 and great General Game and Birding.

Garonga also offers sleepouts, Outside Star or Bush Baths, Massage, Microlite flights.

We have a truly professional, fun, and happy Team that support you, the Guests.

Our conservation efforts on the Reserve itself with the 6 other owners is very impressive as our the Sustainability efforts we all put in to look after the Land we live on.
